Christina is the founder and owner of Guardian Angel Veterinary Care. She started this clinic with the philosophy that all animals should have the opportunity to receive quality veterinary care and is hoping the clinic and its veterinary services will provide a chance for more animals to receive necessary care even when finances may be limited.
Christina graduated from Colorado State University and enrolled in a year-long shelter medicine internship. She always had the desire to work with the "less fortunate" animals (ie homeless animals or those animals unable to get the medical attention they need). It was difficult working at the shelter and seeing how many animals needed homes, but it was an educational experience and helped shape her career goals.
After her internship, Christina decided to work at a local low cost veterinary clinic providing veterinary care for pets who might not have received treatment otherwise. She also had the opportunity to assist in local and international spay/neuter clinics with the goal of decreasing the numbers of homeless animals. Christina continues to assist with this through her work with a Fort Morgan spay/neuter clinic.
Aside from her veterinary career, Christina lives in Denver with her husband and their crew of rescued animals including a paralyzed chihuahua with her cart, some backyard chickens, and a beehive. She loves to snowboard and garden on her free time, and she is looking forward to a time when she can go on a tropical vacation.
Lindsay is originally from the Chicago suburbs and earned her Bachelors of Science degree from DePaul University. She moved to Colorado in 2007 to attend veterinary school
After graduating from CSU, she volunteered for a local animal shelter and was saddened by the number of homeless animals available for adoption. She became committed to helping the pet overpopulation problem through low-cost spay and neuter, and began working at a veterinary clinic dedicated to that mission.
Lindsay joined GAVC in November 2015 and is excited to work with Christina and her caring staff to provide high quality, compassionate veterinary care at a reasonable cost.
She lives with her husband Bill, their Lab mix Molly, and their newly adopted cat, Mimi. In her free time she enjoys baking, cross stitching, and running. Her dream is to travel the country in an RV and visit all of the national parks.
